Truly, there is nothing like a fall foliage wedding to capture the magic of the season. Katie and Austin’s wedding at Montgomery Creek Ranch was a breathtaking celebration framed by autumn colors and rustic charm.
Katie and Austin enjoyed the quintessential autumn day. Throughout the day, they made full use of Montgomery Creek Ranch’s vast meadow. Katie’s full-skirted wedding dress flowed beautifully in the crisp fall breeze, as she ran through the field beside her new husband, surrounded by the most soothing autumn colors.
This wedding, paired with the natural lighting throughout the day, set the mood for a truly memorable celebration for our couple and their guests.
One of the most memorable details was the floral arrangements woven throughout the day. Katie and her florist worked closely to design fall bouquets using autumn foliage while intentionally steering away from typical fall colors. They showcased burnt pinks, cream-colored roses, and cascading purples, all accented with stylish greenery. This made their bouquets unique, tasteful, and elegant, perfectly reflecting the couple’s one-of-a-kind personalities.
These floral arrangements were the perfect accompaniment to the groom’s autumn-inspired attire, a perfect choice for a fall foliage wedding. The groom sported a cream-colored blazer, with a floral autumn tie, paired with the perfect fall foliage wedding boutonniere.
The wedding reception took place in Montgomery Creek Ranch’s Rustic Barn. It was a jovial celebration with their closest family and friends. Cascading drapes hung from the barn ceiling, while romantic lights and chandeliers added a warm, elegant glow. We especially loved how Katie and Austin posed for a cheerful group photo—drinks in hand, and smiles from ear to ear on every face. They utilized wedding signage that displayed their wedding day hashtag, #McGERALDS.
Autumn is a season filled with some of nature’s most beautiful colors, unique to this time of year. When you want to let those colors speak for themselves, try incorporating bold fall foliage wedding hues with soft neutrals—just like Katie and Austin did with their cream-colored roses. Take it a step further by using that same palette in your linens, stationery, tablescapes, and table runners to fully embrace the fall foliage wedding aesthetic.
Calling all DIY brides—this one’s for you! There are fantastic elements waiting in your backyard, a local park, or a nearby nature preserve. Think branches, leaves, pinecones, and more. You can use these in your centerpieces, ceremony aisle runners, or as simple embellishments to enhance your fall foliage wedding décor.
We were truly honored to have Katie and Austin’s Fall wedding day here at Montgomery Creek Ranch. Seeing two people celebrate their love amongst closest family and friends is incredible to be a part of and it is part of our mission to give you a truly memorable wedding day experience, any time of the year.
