Yes, which is a great perk during cold Indiana winter months! The venue space has climate-controlled heat.

How do I reserve a date?
We hope you can visit the Ranch in person before booking a date. You can request a tour on our tour request page, but an in-person tour is not required. Dates are reserved on a first-requested basis.

What is the average budget of a couple getting married at Montgomery Creek Ranch?
That is a great question! Generally, the average budget of a couple getting married at Montgomery Creek Ranch is between $16,000 and $20,000 for all wedding expenses (venue, food, dress, DJ, photographer, etc.). We have had some creative couples with smaller guest lists host beautiful weddings in the $12,000 - $15,000 range, and we have had several lovely events here, spending significantly more than the average.
Is there a food and beverage or a guest count minimum?
Our Premier and Day Packages do not have guest count minimums, while our Inclusive Packages are designed based on guest count.
Do we have to utilize your caterer?
You can choose your Premier and Day Package caterer. We have selected caterers and menus for our Inclusive Packages.
Do you include a "day of coordinator?"
Yes! All of our Packages (rentals) include a “day of coordinator. You get two! Your Suite Coordinator will arrive approximately one hour before your photographer. Your Event Coordinator will arrive approximately two hours before your ceremony to coordinate with the DJ, caterer, and other vendors to ensure the Venue is ready for your reception. Your Event Coordinator stays with you throughout your big day. Depending on your package and guest count, we have additional MCR team members for your day. Our team members handle guest relations, trash, bus tables, and clean up after the event. They aim to do everything possible to help your day go smoothly and ensure it is as stress-free as possible!
Will there be another wedding on the same day?
Montgomery Creek Ranch only hosts one couple per weekend or per day to ensure that each couple's event is unique and receives our full attention.
How many cars will your parking lot accommodate?
150 cars.
Do you offer straight tables instead of round?
We have a limited number of straight tables onsite that can be used for your gift table, head table, etc. We usually have a few extras that can be mixed in with reception seating, but most of your guests will be seated at round tables.

Do you provide table linens, plates, silverware, etc?
All our packages include table linens, except for the Day Package. The Elevated Inclusive has upgraded dinnerware (charger, plates, cutlery). You can rent napkins through us, but they are NOT included in our packages.
What happens in case of rain?
In the case of rain, we have a beautiful indoor backdrop with the Montgomery Creek Ranch Fireplace. Chairs are arranged to allow the MCR team to move a few (usually 3 - 5) tables down the middle of the room to create a beautiful aisle. Our couples have loved this option because it’s a stunning ceremony location and doesn’t require the room flip other venues require, which would be disruptive to your event.
We plan to have our ceremony offsite or only at Montgomery Creek Ranch. Does your fee change?
Because we only host one event per day, our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both onsite. Montgomery Creek Ranch does offer a Reception Only Package that can be reserved up to 12 months before your event date. Click here for more information.
Do you allow dogs on-site to participate in our wedding day?
We are dog-friendly, with some specific stipulations. Dogs and pictures are allowed (only with pre-approval by Denise) at the ceremony. Animals other than service animals are NOT permitted under the roof or near food. Dogs must be on a leash, and someone other than the bride and groom must be responsible. As soon as pictures are finished with your furry friend, arrangements must be made for the dog to be taken off the property. We can recommend “Doggie Day Care.”
What form of payment does Montgomery Creek Ranch accept?
You will have a client portal to access and make payments online securely. Making a payment via bank ACH is free. However, a 4% convenience fee is added for credit card/debit card payments.
My preferred dates are unavailable. Do you have a cancellation waiting list?
We do not keep a cancellation waiting list because cancellations are unpredictable. As soon as a date becomes available, we update our availability calendar.
Are you LGBTQ+ Friendly?
Yes, Montgomery Creek Ranch is an LGBTQ+-friendly wedding venue. We believe love is love, and everyone should have the right to celebrate their special day surrounded by their loved ones, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. We welcome all couples and are committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for everyone. Our staff is trained to ensure that every couple feels comfortable and respected throughout their wedding planning and big day. What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?
With the Premier and Inclusive Package, you have the Venue space a day early, so all your decorating can be completed the day before. For Day Packages, you have early access at 8 a.m. to the Venue and Suites to ensure you have enough time to decorate, relax, and get ready. Winter/Spring Inclusive access is at 10 a.m.
Our booked couples' open house events are designed for couples who have already reserved their date with Montgomery Creek Ranch. Open house dates and the RSVP form can be found here. We host a Venue Open House once a year that is open to the public.
When is the next open house?
Can we have fireworks on the property?
Fireworks are not permitted.
How does the bride get from the getting ready suites to the venue?
The Bridal Suite coordinator will transport the Bride, Dad, Mom, or whoever is walking them down the aisle from the suite to the Venue, in the venue's vehicle.
What time do we start the ceremony?
We suggest starting Friday weddings at 5:00 p.m., Saturday weddings between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m., and Sunday weddings at 4:00 p.m. Should your wedding take place after the time change, if you do NOT plan to do a first look or get married when the sun sets earlier in the evening, please consult with your photographer.
How will the tables, chairs, etc., be arranged for my sized event?
During your four-month bridal consultation, your Montgomery Creek Ranch coordinator will review your approximate guest size, decor elements, head tables, etc., and provide you with the best layout for your event.
Can we get married somewhere else on the Ranch beside the meadow or inside the Venue?
One of the great things about Montgomery Creek Ranch is the vast amount of space. Unfortunately, because of the topography, another flat area is not suitable for a ceremony. However, several intimate areas on the Ranch can accommodate a smaller ceremony guest count.
If we choose the Day Package, can we access the location early to rehearse our ceremony?
If you elect the one-day rental, another couple will likely reserve our venue the night before. We still offer and encourage a ceremony rehearsal with your MCR coordinators; however, it will need to be scheduled around the venue's availability, or we can plan the rehearsal for the morning of your event.
Can vehicles be left overnight?
Yes. Vehicles can be left overnight. Please advise your MCR coordinator if any cars are to be left on the property. Directions will be given regarding the placement and next-day pick-up of the vehicle.
What time does the music need to end?
Music on Fridays and Saturdays must conclude by 10:55 p.m. to ensure that you, your items, and your vendors are off-property by midnight. Sunday music must conclude by 9:55 p.m. and be off-property by 11:00 p.m.
How far in advance do you need our final headcount?
Six weeks. During your final bridal consultation with your Montgomery Creek Ranch coordinator, we will finalize all your wedding details and guest count. We will need to order your linens, and for the Inclusive Packages, your coordinator will need to finalize your guest count with the caterer, bar, and dessert baker.
We are using a rental company. Can they drop off items or pick them up outside the rental period?
All deliveries must happen during the standard rental period. Please advise your vendors of this policy.
Are candles allowed?
No, real flame-burning candles are NOT allowed. All our candles in the Decor Room are battery-operated.
Are alcoholic beverages permitted in the Suites?
Yes. However, no alcoholic beverages can be brought from The Lodge or The Suites to the venue.
What is the event clean-up process?
Montgomery Creek Ranch staff will handle all standard clean-up and trash removal throughout and following the wedding reception.
Can we take photos around the Ranch on our wedding day?
Sure! Just ask us, and we will be happy to make recommendations.
Can we nail decorations to the walls or hang things like streamers or lanterns from the beams?
No. The rafters at Montgomery Creek Ranch are very tall and inaccessible by a ladder. For this reason, we do not allow anything to be hung from the beams. We hope that you will find them beautiful without any extra work!

3. Catering/Bar Package—When you select one of our Catering/Bar Packages for the Reception Only Package, a $1500.00 nonrefundable catering date fee is due. This fee is NOT a deposit nor a nonrefundable fee to reserve your date with the caterer. It will be applied to your total Catering/Bar Package Contract Amount.
4. Your final guest count is due six weeks before the event date, and your invoice for the Catering/Bar Package is due no later than thirty (30) days before your event.
